Major vehicle manufacturers across the country are revving up their efforts to help with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis.
GM, Ford and Tesla are helping to develop/deliver medical equipment for hospitals in need across America.
Here is what they are doing:
Ford has teamed up with General Electric and 3M to produce masks and ventilators. Ford is utilizing fans from the F-150 cooling seats to make it happen. Additionally, they are helping with portable battery packs and air filters to assist 3M with its powered air-purifying respirators. Ford is also exploring how to make a simplified version of ventilators. Additionally, the company is developing face shields for medical personnel.
Tesla has purchased Chinese surplus ventilators and gave California more than 1,000 of them recently. Additionally, the company delivered the University of Washington’s Medical Center around 50,000 masks.
General Motors is partnering with Ventec Life Systems to help produce ventilators.
Planet Auto Wholesale applauds these vehicle companies for stepping up and meeting the call for help.
